The Daily: New Coyotes Arena Plan; Poile’s Top Preds Trades
Arizona Coyotes owner Alex Meruelo is still trying to find a way to keep its team in the state. According to Arizona Sports, he has submitted a letter of intent to purchase 41 acres for a new arena in Mesa.
The report says the Coyotes are looking at other potential locations, including Phoenix and Scottsdale. The target date for a new arena is the start of the 2026-27 season.
The Coyotes are looking for an NHL-sized arena after losing a vote in spring to build a new facility in Tempe.
