Or turn the refs off by making them sick of your complaining and screaming. Making a big scene and show all the time is phony. Also blaming losses on referees, umpires etc is loser talk. Losers do that. Play well and leave the officials out of it. They dont win or lose games. I will agree on one thing.

     Smart coaches make their voices heard but you have to pick your spots. Only do it when its really important and think you have a case. A friend who used to be an official told me he really paid attention to the guys who did it only occasionally when it was really important because most likely they were right. Guys who are whining and complaining after every call they tuned out because they are buttheads who are just a nuisance.

It really seems that our vaunted new coach, Lalonde, will never EVER stick up for his players and demonstrably ride the ref’s from behind the bench over questionable calls !

It truly seems like the guy may be on Quaaludes every night or something….

I for one, truly believe that in all 4 of the major sports in the U.S. (NFL, NHL, MLB and the NBA) the Head Coach or Manager can truly influence the referees or umpires by deriding, complaining, haranguing them after they’ve made questionable calls…

Derek Lalonde never complains….and he never even gives the referees the “stink-eye”…. when they certainly deserve way more than that ! It’s just something I have noticed….so we’ll have to wait and see how it shakes out !
