BUT…Coach Fedorov…seems to be right up there too and perhaps more qualified having been THE coach not the asst coach. At least some think that’s a big deal.

BUT my guess is Lalonde has first right of refusal.

Mr. Yzerman has stated he is most comfortable working with people he knows. Since I believe he hired both of the Tampa Bay assistants (and they have had more important things to worry about with the Stanley Cup Finals still in process), it would surprise most people if either of the Tampa Bay assistants are hired after the Finals. As long as either coach knows the rebuild is still in process and has a ways to go, I do not see how Yzerman can go wrong. My opinion.
