When it comes to the NHL’s recently revealed Reverse Retro jerseys, there appears to be no middle ground. Either you love them or hate them.

But clearly fans have talked about them since the big reveal.

Hockey Now’s Editor-in-chief Dan Kingerski dove headfirst into the Reverse Retro discussion by ranking the five best and five worst of the new alternative jerseys. NHL teams will wear their new wardrobe items two to eight times.

Kingerski ranked the San Jose Sharks and Vegas Golden Knights as first and second, respectively, on his “best” list. The Sharks’ colors on their new threads are a salute to the 1974 California Golden Seals.

Who has the worst jerseys? Kingerski believes the Tampa Bay Lightning have worst jersey and the Vancouver Canucks have the second worst reverse retro jersey. He said making the “worst” list was challenging because he had many good choices.

The Red Wings’ Reverse Retro didn’t make Kingerski’s list. But ESPN ranked the Red Wings 14th on its 32-team analysis.

Jakob Chychrun Update

Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet is always on top of the Chychrun Sweepstakes. His  podcast partner Jeff Marek is also wired in. They discussed it again this week and their conclusion: the Coyotes still want multiple pieces in the deal and two of those pieces must be legitimate first-round equivalents. Marek believes the Senators have moved away from talks because they won’t give up top prospects. He believes the Los Angeles Kings are in the mix.
