Keep in mind these stats are for a new team with 50 percent of it’s starters turned over and playing under a new coach. Then deduct a handful of that team’s key players over 6 of those 9 games in the snapshot.

What else would you expect but crap stats ?

If the morale stays high, these Wings will learn to play as a team, “out” players eventually return and many stats taken after 9 games will improve quickly.

ONE STAND OUT NEED

Apparently, a player is either born a face off guy or he isn’t. IF that’s true or mostly true, management needs to acquire someone to help TODAYS team ASAP. Face-offs won are a key to keeping the puck out the Wing’s end.

The Wings other than Larkin suck at face offs. That puts them behind the eight ball far too often which isn’t good for the Goals Against average. I.E. winning games.

If good face off men are born not made and the Wings need one the fix won’t come easy or cheap. The good news is the SY. probably already has a plan.
