Wednesday’s 3-0 win over the Nashville Predators brought a halt ot the six-game winning streak that the Predators were holding over the Red Wings. Friday, the Arizona Coyotes were arriving at Little Caesars Arena in possession of a four-game win streak over Detroit. A 4-3 Red Wings shootout victory put and end to that run.
Next up are the Toronto Maple Leafs, who will be at LCA on Monday. The Leafs have won seven in a row over Detroit. Detroit hasn’t beaten Toronto since February 1, 2019. You have to go all the way back to 2017 to find a Red Wings victory over the Maple Leafs in regulation time.
