Those two plus what DRW have, and a strong #2 goalie and watch out for Detroit.

Will not get done without both A.D. wanting to come here and the cost not setting back the rebuild at all.

DeBrincat was originally a 39th pick, Nylander an 8th, and Meier a 9th. In what’s considered a better than average draft, do you give up a 9th, +, +, for a sure thing now, or be patient and stay the course? 40 goal scorers are still pretty rare, but with so many holes yet to fill there’s arguments to be made either way. I really like a few of the prospects the Wings could land with their 2 picks this year, so I hope Yzerman doesn’t give either one up unless it’s Meier were talking about. I really think he would help in more areas than DeBrincat or Nylander (not only goals, but size/grit, and net front). If Yzerman tries for DeBrincat I hope it’s next years first + to get him.

At 5’8″ he is too small to be playoff effective, unless you are Brad Marchand. If he is that type of player, yes. But he is not.

He’s a tough cat but…hmm. Offer only what fits but healthy, he’s very worth trying to sign for three or four.

I worry about a 220lb winger taking him to the boards a couple of time. How much would he want. I am guessing Larkin money and at least 6 years.
NOW – if Meier were made available – I’d pick him in a NY minute!!! Same with Nylander. Trouble with the last two – I think you are looking @close to #10MM/yr – minimum 5 years!
