The Daily: Rivals Eye DeBrusk; Which Vegas Number Retired First?
Jake DeBrusk will be an unrestricted free agent next July 1 and the Boston Bruins probably need to find out what DeBrusk’s intentions are for a new contract.
If DeBrusk wants to stay with the Bruins, the team should probably begin working on a new contract. Boston Hockey Now’s Jimmy Murphy is reporting that rival teams will be lining up to sign him next July.
The Bruins’ cap situation is messy to say the least. If DeBrusk plans to test the market, they need to know that. They may have a decision to make as the 2023-24 season progresses.
Boston is one of the more interesting teams this season because it’s difficult to know where this team is at if Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci are not coming back.
