I would especially love to see Igor replace Lalonde if it doesn’t work out with Newsy. I’ve been saying this for the last 2-3 years. When we canned Blashill I really thought it might be a possibility then. Maybe next time. Lalonde is not bad but he has limitations and I cant see him being the coach that helps us to a cup. I dont think doing it as an assistant with Tampa qualifies because that to me is more Jon Cooper’s achievement in a coaching sense. I think Lalonde is just a placeholder. Both Larionov and Fedorov are perfect candidates because they’ve actually done it as players. Cant think of two better people.
