On Wednesday, Hockey Hall of Famer Salming revealed that he has been diagnosed with ALS.

“Börje, I am thinking of you in this tough time,” Lidstrom told Sportbladet. “You have been my idol all these years and I know you will fight with all you can against this horrible disease as you fought on the ice. You have always been my role model.”
