Tom, I agree with you. He does what he believes is best for the team regardless of what anyone else thinks. He doesn’t float trial balloons to determine which way the wind is blowing. He’s aggressive and decisive. Thanks for reading us.

Kevin what I love best is that Stevie Y works quickly and quietly. He says nothing until the deal is done. Even then he gives only as much info as is absolutely necessary. Other GMS talk too much. That upsets agents and players. Sorry David I like Johny Bergers fine but you are overrating him a little.If he could be part of a deal for a top four defenseman, Steve would do it instantly. Or a better goalie (Lyon has done a fine job) he would do that too. Anything is possible. Finally Stevie is never influenced by fans or media. Never forget that.

Mike, enjoyed your comment. I don’t think anyone believes Berggren is the hottest prospect. But I do think some teams might be intrigued by the idea of Berggren being included in the deal. But when it comes to Steve Yzerman, it’s hard to guess what he is thinking. He does regularly say that he would consider any trade that makes his team better.
