Yzerman was never going to replace a player of Larkin’s talent in any reasonable trade so the Wings just have to find a way until he returns. At this point that looks like the big story of this Red Wings season, hopefully not. Go Wings !

In the meantime. GR has playoffs to look forward to. Evidently adding Simek is intended to help GR’s future Wings in their cup run. At age 24 he may yet have a future with the Wings.

In reply to Raise 91 to the rafters. Again what else did you want him to do? A trade for a goalie would have meant giving a player that you really like. A trade for a top four defenseman and a really good forward would have meant the same. These trades for really good players are not so easy to do. Yet fans think its as easy as pouring coffee. And are never satisfied no matter what Yzerman does. All you like to do is complain.
