Red Wings Recall Three From Grand Rapids
Berggren, Edvinsson, Czarnik joining Detroit
Without even having to say so, the Detroit Red Wings are making it abundantly clear that the injuries suffered by Christian Fischer and Jeff Petry are of a serious nature.
Petry and Fischer were involved in a clash of heads during Detroit’s 3-2 loss at New Jersey on Dec. 23. The collision occurred during the second period and neither player was able to continue.
The team has offered no public update on their condition over the NHL’s Christmas break. However, roster news happening early Tuesday evening between the Red Wings and their AHL affiliate the Grand Rapids Griffins was certainly revealing.
