Probably true Robert. Because they’ve gone deep into the playoffs Florida know how to turn it on as needed. The Wings still need to find out and adjust or be cast aside as they have been the last two.

I think the Wings have the character to adjust and nearly would have been in the last two games but for some fine tuning left to do. Lalonde and Yzerman won’t sit around if something needs doing either so I figure that the Wings will “get it” by the next game.

The schedule only gets tougher this week starting in Colorado where they haven’t won in ELEVEN games. On paper this looks like the third loss in a row. It’ll be a bell weather game determining what’s to come. It would be fascinating to be a fly on the wall observing the Wings preparing this week.

From top to bottom everyone must know what the Colorado game means. If they keep losing on this road trip it could nearly extinguish their playoff chances. At that point Yzerman’s phone will ring regularly with offers.

I suspect S.Y. is busy thinking on how to improve the Wings because clearly they are not a dominant Stanley Cup contender yet. This year’s Panthers are perhaps equal to last year’s Senators measuring the Wing’s playoff mettle. It’s up to the Wings to disprove that theory beginning immediately with Colorado. Let’s hope they do. LGRW !

Opinion.

Plain and simple they don’t have the skills to bring the wings to the next level. Stevie y needs some snarl on this team and refuses to bring it in. His one glaring mistake

The Wings simply got rocked out of their comfort zone and didn’t execute. Had the Wings just converted their ample opportunities this game would have been close.

These last two games were similar in that way. Missed opportunities. They’re fortunate to have a small cushion in the standings but it can disappear quickly. I’m tempted to say chuck this one out too but two anomalies in a row? Hmm.
