The Daily: Bruins Eye Zadorov; Raymond Goal Draws Raves

Defenseman Nikita Zadorov wants out of Calgary. Reports say he is on the trade market. The Boston Bruins are interested.

Boston Hockey Now‘s Jimmy Murphy reports that Zadorov’s edgy style would fit well with the Bruins hard-nosed defensive game plan. Zadorov is 6-foot-6, 248 pounds.

“I look at the Bruins right now and the way they’re built – they’re big, hard on the forecheck and playing playoff style – I’m thinking Sweeney’s in on Zadorov,” an NHL source told Boston Hockey Now. “I know for a fact Sweeney’s looked into him before. They’ve been listening on [Matt] Grzelcyk. That could be a great 1-for-1 one for guys headed for free agency?”

The New Jersey Devils also like Zadorov. He has five points in 13 games.
