Ken I did not read carefully enough your whole post. I do think you are right about Lalonde .and some of his other decisions besides Vrana and Bertuzzi. You have a point about Lyon and some of his other decisions. And why they never start on time, thats a coaching issue. So you have some points

Ken this all boolah. Vrana has substance issues. Nobody wants him. Bertuzzi wanted unrestricted free agency, he was never signing with Detroit. He wanted unrestricted free agency. all the way. Boston could not sign him. Nobody in the league would take him except Toronto who gave him a one year deal. Bert and his agent misread the market. They expected a five year big contract. Nobody would give him that. He is not having a good year. He will get a one year deal next year from some team but that is it. Tyler is a good but not great player who overpriced the market. That did not work out well for him
