The Daily: Wallinder Making Strides; Orr Throwing First Puck at Fenway
Scouts and media members have chronicled Red Wings center prospect Marco Kasper’s improvement in the Swedish Hockey League this season. It’s been easy to overlook that his Rogle teammate William Wallinder, another Detroit draft pick, continues to make strides.
Defenseman Wallinder, 20, is Rogle’s third leading scorer with four goals and 14 assists for 18 points in 29 games playing in Rogle’s top pairing. He has four more points than Kasper. Wallinder has started to develop more poise both offensively and defensively. Take a look at the video below:

Wallinder was the 32nd pick in the 2020 NHL draft. Kasper was the No. 8 pick in last summer’s draft. It wouldn’t be unthinkable to see both players in North America next season. Wallinder for sure will be here.
