The Daily: Canadiens, LA Talking Trade? What if Vegas joined NHL in 90s?
The Montreal Canadiens are looking for a right-shot defenseman and the Los Angeles Kings are willing to part with one. Montreal Hockey Now writer Marco D’Amico believe they are perfect trading partners.
He points out the two teams engaged in trade talks before last season’s trade deadline. Each team knows the other’s needs. It shouldn’t be difficult to pick up where they left off last spring.
D’Amico points out that the right-side D Man surplus has forced them to use rookie Brandit Clarke and second-year player Sean Durzi, both right shots, on the left side.
D’Amico thinks the Canadiens could be targeting Sean Walker.
Meanwhile, Vegas Hockey Now had the fun story of a day. Spring boarding off the NHL’s release of Retro Reverse jersey, writer Owen Krepps authored a “What if” story about what the Golden Knights’ roster would have looked like had they entered as an expansion team in the 1990s. Would they have ended up with Jaromir Jagr? It’s an enjoyable read.
