These playoff type games have shown me that the top of the Wings roster can hang with anyone. That’s a great sign for the future. Danielson is looking like a lock to become part of that top core group. He’s been absolutely on fire since the trade to the Winterhawks.

That game was like a microcosm of our season….build up a good position in the first third, blow it in the middle third, then somehow stagger across the line with a hero performance from the Captain.

If thats how our season actually ends I will not be complaining. Red Wings are the team who just will not give up and thats why I have refused to give up on them.

And the Toronto game didn’t surprise me btw. Everybody thought we’d lose that game. When people were going through our list of games to go, washington, pittsburgh, toronto, habs x2, a lot of people assumed we were losing the Toronto game. I didn’t. Know why? Because they’ve been doing this since the start of the season – they have been winning games they weren’t supposed to win. I remember Boston, and Tampa, and many others. The flip side of that is that they have also lost games they WERE supposed to win. I remember Arizona x 2. They have to make sure they get it done against the Habs. They’re expected to win those games, which is why I’m getting REALLY nervous.

They're alive! They're alive! For now anyways! It didn't look too good there when the Leafs had a Power Play with a few minutes left in the 3rd period. But they somehow survived and scored a PP goal of their own! Nice to see Cat score 2! So Detroit has to win out and the Caps have to lose to Boston in regulation or OT. LGRW!
