Any fan who wants the Detroit Red Wings to land a promising goaltender in the upcoming draft can easily envision the first round playing out with premier prospects Jesper Wallstedt and Sebastian Cossa ending up elsewhere.

The Red Wings may conclude it’s too early to take a goalie with the sixth pick. Likely, 6-foot-4 Swedish sensation Wallstedt would be selected a few picks later. Then the Red Wings wait anxiously with pick No. 22 only to have the 6-foot-6 Cossa go three or four picks before they are up.

We are hearing that Wallstedt will go in the No. 10 to 13 range, while Cossa could go any time after the middle of the first round.
